The client here is an author, teacher, debate coach, musician, cyclist, traveler...whew! He called me and told me that he retired and wanted to spend his retirement in The Bull City (can you blame him? It's great here!). We said SURE! He told us that he was moving with his clothes, two pieces of art and a ton of books and that was IT! We made sure that he had a comfortable reading chair on each of the floors of his home, space all of his books with room to expand the library and a place to write his next novel. We bought EVERYTHING: from the furniture to the fans, table to the towels and from the drapery to the dishes. It was fun to add little touches of whimsy in such a chic space: it added a stamp on the home that was HIM despite someone else doing it all.
